The current anime that makes me melancholic

I think I’ve mentioned this anime to you guys before. If not, hmm…its about the lives of a couple of art students who are studying in Musashino Art University (which was the place I wanted to go if I had tried to apply for the NAC-Taka scholarship thingie…but thank God i didn’t…but tt’s another story…), it tells of their romantic relationships, their friendships, their struggles and all. Highly recommended.

Here’s the first opening of season 1 which was aired a couple of years back…season 2 just finished last year…

and if you’re wondering what’s with the food? Its the food the guys have to eat which are cooked by the girls with their ‘artistic food’ (imagine curry with chocolate or a fruit kinda sushi…ladies…i’m not a male chauvinist but please don’t kill your future husbands with creative cooking…)

‘Upcoming Celebrity’ Blogs – innocence or prostitution

Filed under: Bored..., Crap, Uncategorized — dom80 @ 1:57 am

PDATE’ IT’S OUT it’s out !! .. and i’m really sorry guys …

Karen_album1_1

YES! <MULAKAN> is out!! .. and i’ve got a copy myself too!! but first of all … pls let me apologise to those tat went to look for it but couldn’t find .. i’m SOoooo sorry .. it’s my fault, i dunno how the ‘distribution’ system actually works .. when i was told album launching 15th Jan .. i tot it means it’ll b available in all the stores but in fact, it means the CD will b distributed on tat day instead so not all places will have it .. so sorry, i didn’t find out properly …

If this makes u feel better, i’ve also spent hours looking for my album (hehe), i went to KLCC and Time Square but couldn’t find … until my friend called and said she found it in Sungei Wang (thanks Kinki) … so i rushed there before it closes around 930pm …

Photo0421a

The weird thing was me asking the guy in the store .. here’s the dialogue: ‘do you have Karen’s album?’ (hahahah – so funny) .. he said ‘yes, u want it?’ .. i was like .. ‘err, yes please …’ (i dun think he knew wat was goin on anyway cos i look very different with my plain casual wear) .. then I followed up with ‘has anyone asked for it yet?’(hahah) .. so he said ‘yeah, a few people already bought it’(yay!) … heheh, so i paid for my own CD + a free poster too …

Photo0424a

Anyway .. it’s late now, i better goto sleep (my eye-bags r like so visible now, check it out) cos i hardly got any sleep these days, nervous + excited i guess … so if u r reading tis … i’m pretty sure the CDs will be in store tis week (including spore), pls forgive my mistakei’ve never done tis before so i’m so sorry again …

GOod Night Karen

PS: some of ya might think, why can’t my company give me my own copy .. well, my manager Tramy told me it’s GOOD LUCK to buy my very own album instead .. haha !!

<UPDATE> some people hav wrote to me sayin they couldn’t get the posters .. i think TOWER RECORDS / SPEEDY (CDRAMA Spore)likely to have more posters so pls check out from there okie, so sorry about all the trouble you guys have to go through to get my album, i’m very2 touched .. tis means the world to me, thanks again .. i’m doing a photoshoot tomorrow, so better sleep now .. good night!

I’m sorry if some of you happens to be fans of hers or something. But I can’t help but wonder what’s the rationale and motive behind putting up a friendster blog group to promote yourself. Is one using / exploiting friendster to advertise / prostitute herself to the general public and to gain a fan base? Seriously, don’t we have enough of all this adverts on pop culture all over the place? Why must this perverse form of subliminal ‘friendly’ groups that only seek to attract silly peeps who think that ‘hey anyone can be a popstar’ exist to detract people from reality?

Come on, let’s face it. To be a pop star, you gotta be young, ‘hip’ (or geeky for the American Idol 2 red haired guy..wadeva his name is) and pretty. Find me an ugly and crap looking popstar. Even if he/she is not 100% sculpted from like marble, tonnes of make up and more make up will patch up their crap faces.

So when someone (like the above upcoming star) puts up her blog and starts a group, it really makes you wonder what is she telling the public? And knowing that the public is generally not 100% media literate (I would really hate to use the word stupid, but hey you don’t call an ignorant moron stupid, stupid), what kind of lifestyle does one try to impose on our young people today?

We’re all living in this god-damned fucking materialistic world that’s already eating up so much fuel, burning gases and drilling the ozone. We don’t need any more pop stars who wish to impress upon others her zero to hero attitude. Hell, we don’t even need that many pop stars, what on earth do they do anyway? Eat fine food and drink wine in some luxurious hotel, live in a house with a hangar (rich ass John Travolta), have multiple affairs and getting laid 24-7, they just are taking up so much resources just for a bloody cd/a 3hr movie! God!

okae, you may say that anyone is allowed to post his/her comments its a free world and the internet is accomodated for the general public. So if you don’t like what I post, hit the highway there’s no need for grinding of teeth. Hey, I’m cool with that but tell that to kids who’re 12-16. Dreamy impressionable kids, you reckon there’re discerning enough? You’d think they’d actually take up stuff like

CS100 FUNDAMENTALS OF COMMUNICATION STUDIES 3.0A.U.

and spend 14 weeks trying to learn how to critically analysis and appreciate a blog. You gotta be kidding me! Blogs are tabloids to us but hey, to those ignorant and impressionable kids, it may mean the truth. So for those irresponsible bloggers out there who become rich after all that sponsorship and hype over the supposed ‘richness’ in their ‘intellectual discourse’ go kiss my ass. If you were so good at intellectual discourse, do teach me a thing or two about how can I clean up the world with individuals who use bad bimbotic/ himbotic (if there’s such a word) words in their blogs out there who talk about the dumbest things in life. Ok, sorry for the diversion. Back to this, so yes well the intention of someone who post this kinda stuff on the net could very well be an innocent/ sincere gesture. They would really want to inspire someone with their talents but lo! Freudian analysis would tell you more about their subconscious, so what’s their subconscious motive for posting such stuff?

Well, enough dissing celebrities off, not every celebrity is like that of course. You’ve got the humble young stars/starlets struggling to make a living before their big break who are really faithful to their fans, you’ve got megastars like Angelina Jolie and Bono who are trying to change the world. They’re cool. But really how many are like that? How many young star/starlets shoot up to fame, only to bask in money and forget their fans.

Have you ever listened to Eminem? Even a sincere star/starlet can never fulfill the wishes of every fan. Their devotion to work keeps ‘em from doing so. Let’s just face it…Man can never be God. So please, don’t play the idol if you can never be the perfect one, its even worse to promote and propagate yourself. 99% hardwork and 1% talent will get any potential star/starlet far, so stop polluting the minds of young people with dreams of instant fame or stardom through your ‘intimate posts’ becos’ that’s rarely the case for all of us.
