INTENSIVE DRAWING WORKSHOP
MATERIALS LIST
ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVES!!!
1.variety of pencils,(4H,HB,4B).
2.ERASERS!!!buy a pack of the Farber white ,they are cheap at Popular or Mustafa.
3.String for plumb line, at least 3 feet and something heavy to tie on it.
4.exacta knife(utility knife or razor), and scissors.
5.Masking tape
6.Tacks, preferably push pin style.
7.CLIPS!!!!!!!at least 4.
8.Charcoal.(I bought a box of the Talens willow at Art Fiend. Decent black , variety of thicknesses).
9.A couple of pieces of conte, reddish-brown or brown.
10.Tracing paper. Sheets or pad. This will be used to grid up compositions and to create compositions from your drawings. This will be the most expensive thing .You are going to need 10 full sized sheets at least 18×24.
11.Colored pencils. blue ,red ,yellow, brown, and anything else you may have. Don’t go crazy and buy an expensive full set. They should not be water soluable.
12.black china marker.
13.Plastic container to hold brushes and water. Wide mouthed so you can stick your 2 inch or so, fat, cheap brush in it with out tipping over.
14.A 2 inch or so , fat, cheap brush.
15.A small sketchbook (9×12 inches,A4? Ish). This will be used for multiple rough sketches and a daily log of class information and notes
16.Paper towels.
Possible Supply List.
This won’t be needed until after Wednesday. I have to leave it open to see where we are all at by then .Some may choose to only use what they have already. I am trying to keep it as economical as possible.
1.cheap set of watercolours (Think Kid’s set).
2.A couple of reasonable watercolor brushes. Fine,medium,large.
3.A couple of cheap bristle brushes.
4.White acrylic.
